The City of Scottsbluff, Next Young Professionals and Business Improvement District are calling for artists for the downtown “Artistic Bicycle Rack Project.”

They are looking to place six pieces of functional public art in downtown Scottsbluff to enhance the aesthetic environment and to serve as bicycle racks.

Six of the designs chosen will receive a $500 stipend for construction and installation of the design within six predetermined location options around downtown.

In addition to the $500 stipend, artists may enlist sponsors to help cover project costs. Sponsors will be acknowledged with a plaque at the base of each bike rack sculpture.
