Georgina has been working with Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) since the legislation was first drafted in 2004. She worked on The Circle Initiative to deliver five pilot BIDs in central London and was seconded to deliver a successful Waterloo BID. She also part-managed the pan-London BIDS programme between 2004 and 2007, sharing knowledge between developing and formal BIDs and local authorities.
Georgina ran a successful ballot campaign in Croydon town centre whilst working as a consultant with Dr Julie Grail at Partnership Solutions. She was instrumental in advising and training many others, as well as running workshops and speaking at conferences. Georgina undertook area-wide feasibility studies, business consultations and managed stakeholder liaison and assisted in the set-up of the national British BIDs industry body and the accreditation scheme.
Georgina worked at Team London Bridge, one of the UK’s leading BIDs, before setting up as an independent consultant in 2014 . She led on the corporate responsibility projects for Team London Bridge, implementing a Responsible Business Alliance for the area. She also managed two grant giving programmes for local charities and delivered a number of events, both small and informal and formal large-scale. She delivered Team London Bridge a successful renewal ballot in 2010.
